Altered Fabric ATC Mini Art Quilt Necklace

This is my newest Ebay listing Artist Trading Card Necklace.

The mini art quilt measures 3" x 4" made to fit a collection of cards.

It is created on a vintage quilt piece with a vintage image printed on fabric,

hand emboridery embellished with floss and silk ribbon

on a string of vintage and new beads.

I am really enjoying my new Baby Lock Embellisher felting machine. I love experimenting so I decide to make a series of Felted ATC to challenge myself to try different methods and materials. This it my Quiltie for my Febuary Fabric in Art Group

This is my first fabric postcard and my first time at free motion machine stitching. I have been wanting a new sewing machine and not having the cash on hand has allowed me to change my mind several times about which machine I must have. So last week I decided instead of spending $4,000 in the Brenina that I wanted I would invest $30 in my Kenmore and get a free motion foot. I was presently surprised to find out how easy it was and how nicely it worked. Last week I was home sick and discovered day time TV. I saw quilting show and they said to use a small amount of fabric glue to hold the fabric pieces in place. This worked great too.
Well today I am home from work because of blizzard so I am off to make some more postcards too bad I didn’t start earlier so send them this year.

Innocent Art Quilt & Yesteryear Art Quilt Shrine

This little Art Quilt Shrine and Art Quilt is being offered on Ebay this week. I love the purple with the silver frame and the soft colors of the Art Quilt it just looks so innocent. I like experimenting with the different stitches. Next week I start my first Joggles class, Personal Library of Stitches with Sharon Boggon, so watch for more stitches…………..

This pass week we also bought a felting machine an Baby Lock Embellisher. So my daughter Kimberlyn hasn’t let me spent much time on it, but she is having a ball.
